Welcome to the Home of Team Glyndŵr!

Our teams represent Wrexham University in the British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) Northern league and cup competitions.

Competitive fixtures take place across the region on Wednesdays from October to March.

We also encourage our teams to get involved with the city of Wrexham's community by organising friendlies and charity matches with local clubs!

 

Sport at WGSU is currently going through a huge development process as we look to not only advance our sporting performance but to increase and diversify what we can offer our student body.

Playing sport is an integral part of university life; it's a great way to meet new people and live an active lifestyle during your time with us.

 

BUCS

WGSU is an affiliated member of BUCS, which allows our teams to compete against other university teams across the region; from Bangor to Keele and Chester to Lancaster!

BUCS is the national governing body (NGB) for Higher Education sport in the UK. They deliver over 50 sports to almost 170 member institutions, devising a busy league programme of over 4800 teams and over 100 championships events every year. Sports include everything from basketball to ultimate frisbee!

Members of Team Glyndŵr must use the BUCS Play app while participating in the 22-23 season.
